As we age, we lose volume and definition. This result is caused from the deterioration of the natural fat that surrounds the cheekbones. Collagen and protein, which allow the skin to retain its original shape, can also break down and the resulting hollow cheeks and sagging skin become more evident as gravity works. Thankfully, you can say goodbye to smile lines and hollow cheeks with the help of our Master Certified Injector, Kathy Haney, and Restylane Lyft® at Transformation MediSpa.
What is Restylane Lyft®?
Restylane Lyft® is a hyaluronic acid gel injectable that is a part of the Restylane family. These products are FDA approved to replenish volume, contour the face, and lift cheeks by smoothing away smile lines and wrinkles. Restylane Lyft® is provided by Galderma, a trusted name in skincare, and uses particles that are larger and injected deeper into the skin to improve elasticity, which produces a more natural look. It gives you the sculpted high cheekbones that you desire and smooths out those nasolabial folds, commonly known as smile or laugh lines.
The clear gel is specifically created to work like the hyaluronic acid that is produced naturally by your body. The formula is injected deep into the superficial subcutis of the dermis in order to fix moderate to severe facial folds and wrinkles. The procedure can also enhance your cheeks to treat mid-face contour deficiencies due to age related factors or hollow cheeks caused by weight loss. There are few restrictions to Restylane Lyft® because it uses hyaluronic acid. Potential adverse side effects are limited because of the use of hyaluronic acid as well. Restylane is a safe option to help you confidently achieve long-lasting, naturally noticeable results.
Restylane Lyft® can:
♦ Provide a subtle lower-facelift
♦ Enhance cheeks and restore fullness to hollow cheeks caused by aging or weight loss
♦ Fill moderate to severe wrinkles and folds
Restylane Lyft® Facts
Restylane Lyft® Procedure
The procedure is performed in our licensed medical aesthetic facility by our Master Certified Injector Kathy Haney. She will administer the dermal filler into the targeted areas of your face and cheeks to correct cosmetic issues and provide volume. Based on your individual circumstances and desires, as well as the specific contours of your face, the exact injection sites chosen will vary.
How Long Does the Treatment Take?
The length of time it takes to perform the treatment varies depending on the required number of injections and the locations where they will be administered. After the area is numbed with a topical anesthetic, a series of injections will be made using a fine gauge needle. In addition to the topical numbing, Restylane Lyft® also contains lidocaine to increase the comfort of the patient.
Do the Injections Hurt?
As stated above, Restylane Lyft® contains lidocaine to improve comfort. Additionally, we can provide extra lidocaine injections, and a topical anesthetic cream may be used to improve comfort by numbing the area. Acetaminophen can be used after the treatment; however, we recommend avoiding ibuprofen or aspirin medications as these can increase bruising and bleeding. Most patients experience minor swelling and bruising following the treatment and detect only a small pinch during the treatment.
How Does Restylane Lyft® Work?
Restylane Lyft® is performed in two phases. While some results are visible immediately, it does take time for the fillers to take full effect. Following the injections, the gel adds volume that immediately improves the contour of the face. This gives your skin more support which smooths out the texture while helping to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. The long-term effects are produced when the hyaluronic acid within the formula reacts naturally with your skin to attract more moisture. This added moisture boosts the elasticity and volume of your skin.
Restylane Lyft® can also lessen the appearance of smile lines that run to the corners of your mouth from your nose as a result of thousands of facial expressions over time. The added support from the injection reduces the creases and folds in the skin caused by weakened support structures.
Restylane Lyft® is FDA approved for patients over the age of 21. If you have any cosmetic concerns about your cheeks and smile lines and are otherwise healthy, this dermal filler may greatly benefit you.
During your consultation, we will give an in-depth presentation of the procedure. This will give you the opportunity to discuss your cosmetic goals. Your facial structure will be evaluated, and we will then determine the amount of filler required to achieve your desired results.
Possible risks and side effects associated with Restylane Lyft® will be discussed during your consultation. The most common side effect associated with this dermal filler are minor and include bruising, swelling, redness, and tenderness. These symptoms reduce over time and are usually corrected within a few days. Normal daily activities can be resumed, and you can enjoy the benefits of Restylane Lyft® with little downtime. Post-treatment care will be discussed during your consultation.
How Much Does the Treatment Cost?
Given that every patient is different, the associated cost of the treatment will vary. We will determine exactly how much product is needed during the consultation to provide you with the desired results. This will help us evaluate the cost of the treatment. Prior to performing the procedure, we will give you a quote for your treatment. The treatment itself is considered to be an affordable option for facial rejuvenation, as Restylane Lyft® lasts for several months. Touch up treatments often require less product than the initial procedure.
